Role description
  • Work in a multi-functional team with Product Owners, Engineers, Data Scientists and Leadership
  • Further build and lead a development team consisting of Frontend, Full Stack and DevOps Engineers (~5 people)
  • Coordinate, envision and build an application on a cloud platform using state-of-the-art technologies and frameworks
  • Oversee the development of modules for a micro service-based architecture using Docker and server-less functions
  • Get an overview over the complete processing pipeline of a modern, scalable application which uses machine learning to process various types of data
  • Apply agile working methods and define technical standards
  • (Further) develop and realize the technology and product based on customer feedback in close coordination with the rest of the Product Team
Key requirements
  • Successfully completed Master's degree in business informatics, computer science, mathematics, physics or related fields
  • 2+ years of experience in leading diverse engineering teams
  • Good knowledge of one or more programming and scripting languages such as Python, Scala, C++, Java, JavaScript
  • Experience with cloud-computing and server-less development, ideally AWS-based
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and general software development, ideally including continuous integration and continuous deployment tools (e.g. Gitlab, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience in agile development (Scrum), ideally already used ticketing systems and wikis (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
  • Knowledge in the field of data modeling (e.g. SQL, NoSQL)
  • Analytical and innovative way of thinking and joy of experimenting
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
